    A visit to Cagliari

A travel blog entry by jane.bezzina on Jun 16, 2015

A half day sight seeing tour of this lovely city. The Sardinian name for the city is "Casteddu" literally meaning castle. The tour takes us past man made wet land within his home to hundreds of np iris including pink flamingoes. Then off to Mount Urpin to enjoy the view over Cagliari's old town. From here we walked around the old district which is surrounded by bastions starting at the St Christina Gate. ...

Finally we discovered it after some detective work by Kevin behind twelve foot high metal gates with security cameras and barbed wire! The ...

We got up very leisurely today. I don't think we got down for breakfast until a little after 9:00. I asked the front desk where I could get a pedicure tomorrow morning, and she said she'd call and make an appointment for me for 9:00 in the morning.

After breakfast we set out to find a grocery store where we could get lunch stuffs and some wine. We have a refrigerator ...

    ... both of them.

We then shared a whole fish (sea bream), which was delicious, Eldon had the cheese plate with his, and I had a mixed salad. Both of our sides were HUGE. Needless to say, we just tasted a little bit of both.

For dessert Eldon got the Tiramisu, and I got the chocolate gelato. I had one bite of his, and I ate all my gelato, which was DELICIOUS.

We will be a lot more careful ordering food tomorrow ...
