... As we walked back down you just had to realize people were still living here and going about their everyday lives in such an historic neighborhood!!
Dinner tonight was lamb chops ,home made oven chips and a Greek salad with ingredients from a Supermarche we found. We were then frantically booking accomodation in Alghero where we planned to stay next.

... all good washed down with a couple of glasses of Vermentino a local of the region's wine. This wine can be dry or off-dry in style or verging on sweet but in general the richer in it's straw colour, the more flavoursome.
After crossing the crazy 6 lane road on a pedestrian crossing that no car stops for!! We made it back to the car and 'dodgem' drove back to our lovely apartment so peaceful and slept.

We went down for dinner at 8:00. I had the mussels, which were delicious, and Eldon had the prosciutto and melon balls, which were tasty too. Once we got settled we went down to the bar and had a drink. It was happy hour and they had all kinds of tasty appetizers from the Sardinia area. Olives, cheeses, nuts, pizza, another type of stuffed cooked bread and deep fat fried mozzarella balls. There was also a really light crisp bread that Eldon loved.
