    ... had a call from Daryl to say they were all back so I was only a 15 minute walk from the club. He let me know that both Darcy and Thomas had capsized during one race. Darcy had his main sheet give way at the bridle. They managed to finish the race but were very disappointed with the gear failure. Unfortunately, it can happen even when you check your boat over each day. So I have another main sheet to repair! He is using a new one but they want this one as a spare. ...

    ... we went and got some lunch then walked along the beach. Cait Alexander, Mandy Kelly, Alison Goodfellow, Amanda and I were all wearing our Aussie Team shirts and we got a few stares. I wonder if people thought we were a team for something and then we started trying to guess what sport we would play. Bowls, croquet or netball were a few suggestions!     ... Peter Alexander bought. It's a great setup for all of us. I think the other teams are going to be looking at us and either be very impressed or think what a waste of time. Who knows? I guess we're used to setting up outdoors but over here they have such short summers and not much fine weather that they don't worry about shade outside. They need the vitamin D!     Up early again, courtesy of the boys next door - party animals. I think the pub must close at 04:00. They were happier this morning, not so argumentative and loud, probably due to both Mandy and Mike separately talking to them. We all had showers then had to wait until 08:00 for our breakfast room to open and off we went. Amanda and I also did a load of laundry for €4 but they do not have any washing lines.
