... Later on to get back to reality we caught the local Bus to get us back to Saint Raphael.
Friday, our last day before reality hit for real. We just stayed around town and to cheer us up we ended going back to the Brasserie for lunch.
Saturday morning, even though the sun was still shining it was depressing as we had to say goodbye. Ian & Joan drove the car back to Nevers and we caught the bus to Nice to get a flight back to Berlin.

On our return home, we filled the car with modern techno music from well-known French musician Jean Michel Jarre, and we zipped through the amazing glow tunnels back over the border to Italy. Thankfully the Italian Carabinieri who stopped us was not interested in breath-testing Stephen (not that this was a problem). After a fabulous day and night, I think there will be lots more dancing on the agenda in the future ...

The third morning waking up so so. I hope what ever I have going on gets out of my system soon. We're off to the Cinque Terre in a couple days and I want to be in good shape as there will be lots of hiking and boating while there.
We had a quick breakfast and were off. R was going for his exploratory dive and I was excited for him. I didn't think I'd be able to tag along but by the time we arrived ...

... calmed down for us. We didn't need any excursions for this trip, just wanted to walk around and see everything we could see in the short time alotted to us (last tender back to the ship was 15:30). Rick and Kiwani (the couple we met on the train) came with us in the morning we walked up to the top of Monaco to the palace. From their we could see the Kart Race that was going on at the Monte Carlo F1 track. Those have to be the quickest go-carts I've seen.
