Bahngasse 29-33 Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria, Austria, 2700, 2622-24134
... is a hostle but also a meeting place and home for alternative travellers that want to create alternative lives and are interested in communal living (in Turkey and elsewehere). At the moment it is still full under construction. It was great to be able to help them while I felt still confused and sad after the Biketour experience. It was so good to realize again how much I love to paint and draw too ...
Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria, Austria holadiyo... sole purpose being to keep everything flowing! There are rarely any four way stops or stop signs and the reason is that it would be utter stupidity to make people stop like that!!! Drivers would kill each other in no time! What they have, instead, are 'roundabouts'.... when you come to an intersection, you merge (and YES, they know how to do that properly here) to the right and then merge (right again) onto your ...
Wiener Neustadt, Austria rodine.isfeldSeptember 1997 Unfortunately, there isn't much to say for this entry ... If you read my last entry, you will already know that I spent about a month in Germany. I was on my way to the Balkans, and after a month of training, we took a big double decker bus south, deep into the heart of Europe. One of the many stops was in Austria. Honestly though folks, there isn't much to say ... it was ...
Vienna, Austria gr8ful_deadbeat... it was later at night anmd fair went up some. All i knew was that atleast i found something that i liked. By then it was already running a little late so we went and ate some food that ive never seen in my life, again at Cantino but it tasted good and i remebered to write it down for later. It was called Bonito del Norte and costed around 13 Euro for it. Then we got to the hotel and just all passed out because we were so tired.
Wiener Neustadt, Austria polishswimmer56This day the three of us decided that we would go and see some musians and where they lived for some of their lives. Before we left I noticed that it looked like it might rain so i made sure to pack a jacket and an umbrella just in case if it rained. Once we ate at a place called Cafe Central, which was a pretty inexpensice place to eat at and which we all decid3ed we liked and would eat there every day in the morning, i ordered just some sandwiches and thats all for about 5 Euro, then we ...
Wiener Neustadt, Austria polishswimmer56... i put on a sweater and pants. So i go outside by myself and just take a nice little walk while Salar and Eloise are still sleeping. Its just oh so beautiful and nice, like it so rich of culture but theres also greenery and nature all around us, its just something that i cant describe. Then after my walk i get back to the hotel to go to the St. Stephen's Cathedral for a tour, but they are still asleep and i ...
Wiener Neustadt, Austria polishswimmer56... The whole thing is worth visiting, but it must be a lot more fun if you go with someone else, and several years younguer. Ah, yes, and if you think that you will get an education from it, well, you just might, but if you tend to know composers like Bartok, Mahler, Dvorak, Elgar, Berlioz, and beyond, you won't. Well, that is dishonest, you will get an education about how uneducated the overall public is believed to be by whomever built the thing. Sad story, is ...
Vienna, Austria roberto.macias... we found a little barge boat with a BBQ and swimming pool on it. In a throwback to school days, improvisation took over and a little swimming in my pants went down a treat! Great idea til i got out and remember i would also need a towel. Viennese people will never be the same after that little episode. Finish off the evening with a nice expensive meal (thanks Ash!) and a walk around the grand old buildings of Wien.
Vienna, Austria nobaldo... left a bad taste in our mouths. I didn't hate Vienna but a few bad mishaps happened here with other members of the group as well (besides the bus incident and ****** guide). For instance, one woman became sick and had to be dropped off at our hotel early in the middle of the city tour, which Franco handled very nicely. Another lady, from Scotland, fell and had terrible bruises on her legs. It was then time to leave Vienna and we were happy to be on our way to Prague!
Vienna, Austria travelinkerry... families around the square. We walked in a southerly direction to find the ring road and the trams. On the way we passed the Burg Theatre. We poked our heads into the lobby which was as far as we were allowed to go. There were tours within the theatre but none at that time. We also missed out on a tour of the State Opera House for the same reason. We trammed to Swedenplatz and changed there to go to Hunderwasser Haus or village on Loweng. We took a ...
