... If he had worked in an English speaking country, he surely wouldn't be living in Poland now. Fair point.

He took us out to visit Anita's babcia. We went to a tiny little village out of town that looked like it'd seen better days. In fact, most of Poland had seen better days. Since the fall of the Soviet Union, and more recently, the induction into the E.U, all of Poland's wealth and labour force had moved west across the border ...
Kamienna Góra, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland andrew.campbellJelenia Góra ('deer mountain') is about couple of hours south from Wroclaw (trains or buses). It is close to the Karkonosze mountain range running along the Polish-Czech border. Only 10-15 km of the town there are few ski resorts such as Karpacz, Szklarska Poreba.
Nice, colorful Market Square, Cyprian Kamil Norwid Theatre, Saint Cross Church, the Old Town are just few places worth of seeing. <br ...
Jelenia Gora, Western Poland, Poland ulka... of pleasure, prayer, and balance in life. Hornet Flight by Ken Follet An espionage-action novel set in WWII Denmark by the author of Pillars of the Earth. A pretty eclectic mix, which is how I like it. I actually NEED to re-read the Chesterton because it was such a paradoxical page turner that I am still trying to wrap my head around it. Still, I look forward to Krakow in a few days and the promise of some new reading material.
Teplice, Bohemia, Czech Republic steffeff... moja kolezanka, "szorstką przyjazn". Czas pokaze, czy bedziemy zdolni utrzymac nasza relacje. ENGLISH: From one hand I am very happy, from the other I kind of feel like a stone in my soul. Typical syndrome for me when it comes to an end of a journey. Today we should get back home... In Prague we got to the Cerny Most metro station and from there we took a Student Agency coach to Liberec. There we found ...
Szklarska Poreba, Western Poland, Poland bogna... was a short 2km hike up the side of the road to a chairlift which was to carry us 528m up the range to Mt Kopa (1375m). It wouldn't have been difficult to hike all the way up, but with only a couple of hours we decided to make the most of our time higher up. There was a lot of snow at the top, and despite the threat of the clouds gathering above us we decided to press on to the summit of Mt Sniezka, which looked a lot more imposing from closer up. The trail ran alongside the Czech border ...
Karpacz, Western Poland, Poland will... or not, desperately trying to work out what we think fuel will cost and what its advertised. Only when we get back we find its 40z to the pound, so shopping was incredibly cheap, to the extent Rob wishes to go back!! I make coleslaw (P.I.T.A) and a potatoes salad and its 12 degrees but without a breeze so Robs outside doing a BBQ. The campsite was difficult to find but is a nice site, large, no one around except one other large caravan with no ...
Trutnov, Czech Republic rob.jenn... different things, and by duskwe came back home to relax. We ate a bit and relaxed together listening to music, watching movies... I had a great sweet time! Lovely time! ---------- January 28 Today was a lazy sunday, later Daniella's uncle passed by and finally invited us to restaurant, he was pretty much of a funny guy and it was nice to hear them talking 'sudenten' dialect. I also saw the downtown of Trutnov, I really ...
Trutnov, Czech Republic maplefanta... then walked decided to eat at the hotel restaurant; very cute -- like dining in a peasant's courtyard, but clean, and with orchids. After dinner, the rain had let up, and it was still light. So we walked to town and had ice cream and capuccinos in a very cute cafe -- candles on the table, wood burning in the corner fireplace. At hotel, Kyla was very hyper. We played a game of cards; I won.

Teplice Rock Town, Czech Republic rosanddave... had signals and grunting, I have regressed to cave man status. It has been a long day of travelling and everything is closed anyway so I have a long hot shower and go to bed. The next morning I find the trail information center and get a map, the trail starts not far from where I am staying so off i go map in hand. As it turns out the trail is very well marked and is very easy to hike. I am pretty much alone on the trail I see only a couple of people. It is very quiet and ...
