... wine and a small dog. This afternoon i counted no less than 12 handbag dogs sitting around with their owners during the afternoon (6.30pm) wine and cigar. None of these dogs walked in on their own accord yet a few did walk out on a leash. I am wondering if this ratio of 'carry in and walk out' is directly proportional to the number of wines had by the owner. So yesterday afternoon i tried to pay for my accommodation, evening meal and a couple of beers on card. I must admit ...

... dinner with them tonight. More stork nests abound along the way and I spot one at the town of Valverde de la Virgen (correct spelling) on the church tower (the usual place to find them) and there is a stork standing in the nest, fast asleep on his/her feet. It looks so cute but I cant help but wonder how birds or any other animal life can sleep standing on their feet, and not fall over! lol. Certainly dangerous for a stork in a nest atop ...

... We did however see the Parador, which is the hotel in the movie The Way (inspiration and movie about doing the camino.) where the group of pilgrims stayed for a night. Super posh and quite expensive but probably fun! So out of the city it was another 7.1k to the village. ... accommodations about 20 mins later. Hostel Don Suero was clean and comfortable with private rooms. We had a light bite at the cafe next door and turned in early about 8:15 pm.

We had a phone message from mom just to let us know where they were heading for the day. She forgot the name of the village so she told me to "look up" our next stop in Brierly's Camino guide book and then "turn the page." ...
