... through our bedding and bags. Keeps,the bed bugs away. Been filling my pack with twigs of lavender when I see them but this should help more. Hedley coped one the other day. Heard about them now I'm paranoid! I know even 5 star hotels get them, but massive Albergues with hoards of bodies per week are a prime target and you can't be sure of the hygiene of your fellow pilgrims even though they are great people.

Had fun exploring the shops, ate less, ...

... She just stood here and ate it and clearly this is something she does a lot. Didn't look like she needed any excess food *laughing*. But golly gosh it WAS funny.

Upside of all of this we were still there at 10pm when they turn the lights on the cathedral. Lovely to see. Then bed, glorious bed in my big bed, with real sheets, butt naked, comfortable bed. Sleep wonderful blissful sleep!

... around this old ancient city, explored the city walls (literally) and walked the moat, just because we could, back for the arvo bottle of vino rosado and gabbled on with other pilgrims and exchanged our life and travel stories.

But today I finally did patch my britches that I managed to tear along the way and hopefully they will last a while longer. Haha when I patched them I saw where I had clearly patched them before with gaffs tape *laughing* forgot about that. ...

I was encouraged by Stephen's comments enjoying the blogs, thank you! After a day in Leon, waiting for the bikes to be serviced, we were sorry to leave the monastery hotel. Still warm weather and no rain. The countryside is parched, riverbeds are dry. Occasional canals and aqueducts feed the corn fields. Fields are fertilised with manure from invisible animals , we Assume pigs kept inside. Ham, ...
