... There was a brother and sister behind me in line at the Tourist Office that were also looking for credentials. Their names were Emily and Alex from Florida. Emily didn't speak any Spanish and Alex's was only slightly better than mine. This gave me a bit of hope that maybe I could do this after all. We set off to find our credentials and about ten minutes later we had found them. I still needed to get my outlet adapter so I ...

... A few beers / coffee and we headed for the bus station. It was a quick 20 minute ride into Leon, 10 minute walk to our Hostal, shower, then out to drinks and dinner with our Irish friends - Joe and Deidre. We were all very tired, but it was a good night getting to know them, seeing a few familiar pilgrim faces around town, ANOTHER pilgrim meal, a nice bottle of red and bed! They joined us and shortly after that, along came Kym. So a good little gathering along with other pilgrims we had got to know. Eventually Kathleen and Mary Anne got up and moved on. The rest of us sat a bit longer while Bert tended a very large and painful blister on the under side of his foot. After ...

Calzadilla de la Cueza to El Burgo Ranero, Spain

A travel blog entry by dyak on May 09, 2014

... I Reached Sahagun by 10:40. I picked up some sunscreen and had a sandwich prior to continuing on for 18 km to El Burgo Ranero. My feet were getting sweaty and heating up so I. Stopped at a rest area just west of Sahagun to let things dry out. After about 20 minutes I was on the road again. As with yesterday there were several pilgrims up to Sahagun and quite a number fewer in the afternoon. It ...
