... the 15k or so to the next town of less than 500, and hopefullly they'd have room. Sheesh. That didn't sound promising. The Red Deer gents left to find a place for some nibbles (too learly for get super) and D pleaded our case ... with great success. The Camino will provide! With news that the mayor agreed to open the recreation centre for stranded pilgrims, D and I rode around trying to get the message to the Red Deer crew ... and we found them.

... 161;Muy bien! And let me tell you, with so many things to process all around me, I am very grateful for my siesta! :) It has been a great couple of days of being one of the locals. They have invited me to join them in their house on the riviera, very close to France. I was just there in San Sebastián, but I thought I would go with them for Friday and Saturday and take a train to more central Spain on Sunday. I'll check in soon, Love, ...

... The girls in Sam's class have been texting him for the recipe.) He also got a video birthday message from Grandma Susan Boeschen (very sweet -- and very techy!) and had had a special Skype session with three generations of Claymons -- Brian, Mike and Allan -- all together in Colorado. (His parents can't believe Sam is this old. He wears the same size shoe as his mom!)

The whole gang followed Jose into the mountains to a trailhead for a loop ...

... with dinner. Logrono is home to a gazillion tapa places so what we found was a gazillion tapas. Tapas are great but after awhile all you want is 'dinner', there's only so many days in a row you can live off bread and ham. So in a nutshell we didn't find much wine, Logrono was grimey, full of dodgy gypsies, tapas bars, hens and bucks parties. Not on our highlight list, but they can't all be ...
