Najera MUD SLIDE to Santo Dominigo de la Calzada

A travel blog entry by larimcdonald

... the pilgrims - or course they make a lot of money from us. Tried some strange drink which says it's 'bitter' but it was red, nice, different, not bitter but not sweet so made a change. Apparently it's Italian, so my thought on trying something different and Spanish failed.

While today was technically only 21kms, because it was so muddy we reckon it was 22kms we did as we crossed back and forth trying to find the ...

Logrono to Santa Domingo de Calzada

A travel blog entry by cantycamino

... getting up there. The serviced bikes were much easier to ride and we shared the Camino with the walkers quite a bit. Everyone is friendly, we all greet each other and sometimes have time for a chat. Didn't see our friend with the wheelbarrow today. Met him a few times over the past few days. This beat the heat and I travelled to a little town (about 20k) called Viana. Here we sat and had coffees and something to eat. I had set off early so no breakfast. Met all the walkers here, the family is about 20 or 30 odd who we all say hi to. Most of whom ...

Ysios, Vivanco and a good find in Legroño

A travel blog entry by hadwin

... subtle with sweet fruit on the palate.

4. Dulce de Invierno 2010

Very low intensity with a salmon pink colour, berry notes on the nose and a squashed wild strawberry note on the palate.

5. Maturana Tinta 2010

Again a very high extraction with an almost black wine – high extraction. Almost sooty on the nose with some polish and heat but difficult to distinguish black fruit. Dusty and warm in the mouth but perhaps ...
