The apartment is really good, the others have all been good too in different ways. The only thing we managed after arrival was groceries and blog catch ups, and the protests ended peacefully.......

Sunday was as Sunday should be, spent in/at churches. The Duomo in Milan is quite spectacular and we arrived during Solemn Mass. We found a spot to stand and enjoy the rest of ...

... and patterns in brilliant luminous colours. These buildings apparently represent the most exemplary decorative cycle of 16th century Milanese painting mainly by Bernadino Luini who worked in the neo-Gothic style and was a contemporary of, and influenced by, Leonardo Da Vinci. There were stunning frescoes of biblical scenes pictorially telling the biblical stories to an illiterate audience.
