... Alps and the Apennines. Longitudinally it extends from the border with France and the French Riviera (or Côte d'Azur) near Ventimiglia (a former customs post) to Capo Corvo (also known as Punta Bianca) which marks the Eastern end of the Gulf of La Spezia and is close to the border with Tuscany. ... I got back in the car again. Because I didn't take any photo's today I thought I would share some of Dave's foodie snaps he has been taking. Mitch always wants to know what we have eaten when we are away, so Dave has been taking a photo of everything that we eat! It was driving me crazy at first, but now it's just funny. ... cliff side with a garden hose - I also saw Alassio written on the clif side and there it was, the little access road, the small winding road down to the beach. The road I ran bare foot to tell Anna to ring the fire brigade when our bus burned.

The camp site was gone. The access road was a private road with a gate. It was still amazing to stand there and look down on the beach I had loved so much as a kid. But I had places to go and things to do.
