    Got on a Eurostar (fast train) in Rome for our trip to Switzerland. I was rather looking forward to it as I have never been on one before. We had seats allocated and the train was packed to capacity. For a journey of 580 Km to Milan with stops in Florence and Bologna we had 3 hours 15 minutes allocated, not bad when you think.     Changed and showered and with camera in hand it was now time to go and explore this historic city. I walked out the hotel and across the road to the river where I took a few photos. My plan was to go and find somewhere nice for dinner but with the rain pelting down as it was I turned round and went back into the hotel and simply had dinner there in the restaurant.

    ... so it was back to the station. I went to the Western Union office (which was combined with an SBB rail office) and took another number and waited in line. It seems a bit odd that they wouldn’t have change machines near the ticket machines, and it was a darn nuisance to have to go back to the station and stand in a queue just to get change.
