... afternoon. A number of weddings were taking place and church bells were ringing everywhere with crowds of people dressed up and having fun.

There were a lot of old refurbished buildings alongside a surprising number of buildings that had been left to decay. The streets were very clean but there was a lot of graffiti on the buildings. They had a late dinner of tapas before heading back to their hotel to settle down.

One of the problems for turismos in Spain is that shops (including huge supermarkets) are closed on a Sunday. So faced with no food, and 3 tired, scratchy kids coming back from the beach late, we succumbed and went to MacDonalds... The truth is, it was pretty good, and cheap too. 4 Euros for 2 small burgers, chips and a drink. Oh dear.

... wet and freezing we saw the Cathedral and climbed up the tower (surprise surprise), pinpointing our next stops up the top. We tried to go into the undercover market but it was closed for siesta time. Plaza de la Virgen was lovely. From there we walked to the Torres Quart and then along the old river (because of flooding they dried it up).
