    Canoeing on the lake

Today Ruth and I took a canoe on the lake. We wanted to explore it more close to the coast. It was great fun apart from the burden on your shoulders. After an hour of paddling, our shoulders and forearms were worn out. We then had a relaxing afternoon by the pool, followed by a last supper at home before moving on to ...

Been very busy last couple of days - just had time to catch up and I am a few days behind. We drove up to the local car ferry in Trezzamo The ferry was quick, we drove on and sat on the top deck for 10 minutes. When we arrived in Bellagio we had a lovely relaxing look round and a little shopping trip. We sat in the Hotel Du Lac ...

Up at 4:30am to be ready for the taxi at 5:30am to catch the 6:10am from Lucerne to Chur via Zurich. I was a bit concerned by the connection in Zurich as it was only 11 minutes change over and we couldn't find out which platform to be at until we got there. Reliable Swiss railway had us in Zurich right on 6:56am. Had a lucky changeover as we took a lift off the platform to the train station, saw the platform number for our next train straight away, caught ...

... think my trousers may have become suddenly too small and / or passed out!.

Dropped our little black Focus off at Milan Airport Terminal 1 after a bit of a detour since there was not as you would hope a gas station anywhere near the terminal. Serena found us a tiny little local one - two pumps outside what looked like someone's house that were prepay only & no one in sight - not much good when you want to fill your rental. Nek minnit would ...
