Took the train from Budpest to Brno (about 4 hours). The Fulbright group arranged a very nice reception at an Abbey in Old Brno. They arranged a private concert in the basilica which was absolutely amazing. The rains came and it has finally cooled down.

The weather has cooled down and so have the irritations. Picked up at the hotel about noon today and just returned to the hotel around 10:00 PM. About 5 hours of this time was spent eating. Had a totally fabulous lunch today that lasted about 2 hours (they really take time for meals here) and then a lecture on the history of the Czech Republic. I …

... ritme totaal niet met me matchten. Dat geeft niet, maar ik bedacht dat ik een bewijs van de mere exposure theory had gevonden. Even psychologisch bezig blijven natuurlijk.

Voor de city game werden we ingedeeld in random groepen van 7 personen. 3 Polen, een Tibetaan, een Duitser 2 Portugezen en ik werden Zoological, maar we moesten splitsen omdat er teveel vragen waren en te weinig tijd. We sloofden ons flink uit om alle benodigde punten te halen en het was ons gelukt! Echter zonder ons medeweten waren de Duitser en de twee Polen van het andere deel al gauw in een ...

So, there ya go! Six for each, tried to keep it fair. Of course, I love both places for different reasons, and am absolutely enjoying my time here.

As my friend says, when things are strange or different here in the good ole' Czech Republic..."It's not weird, it's Czechtastic!"
