We started out early today- needed to catch the 8am train to Cologne. The train was a nice ride. Took us 2.5 hours. The beautiful and enormous Cathedral was near the train station. Building started in 1240. This was one old church! It sat 1/3 finished for over 300 years. The Prussians then decided to finish it according to its original plan. They ...

Brought brekky this morning at the Cologne railway station because we discovered they have lovely yogurt and muesli. Then we went shopping. I bought a pair of German shoes, made in Hamburg, for $52! Rosanne bought a very comfortable pair of new season shoes for a little more. Found unbelievable bargain at a 5* Hotel. & couldn't resist. To put it into context the breakfast cost 50% of the room rate! We didn't have breakfast! Even better, parking was also extra but as GG was too tall for their underground car park, we had to park with the smart cars in front of the Hotel at no charge. Hilarious!

There has been occupation at the site of the city of Bonn for thousands of years but the first settlement was established in 11BC by the Roman army, named Bonna after the local indigenous peoples, the Eburoni. A Roman fort was built on the site in the first ...

... are gold again. Naturally I have been to all the places I remember, and I didn't get lost once. It was a walk down memory lane. Finally the T-shop was open and the people there merely used a tool to chop the large SIM card into one that fitted the iPhone kostenlos, free. Coffee and cake were then in order, so I went to the store we used to visit in the Münsterplatz and I enjoyed it very much. On returning to the Institute, I met with my ...
