... cruise winds along the Rhine to its conclusion. We brought on a third captain today so we can keep going through this afternoon and right through the night, arriving in Amsterdam early morning. ... she said if you know pizza, gelataria, and vino you are set. We got to visit her and have a drink at the nice restaurant where she works and join her with some of her friends during their lunch break in their study day. A perfect visit to Bonn I just wish we could have spent more time there! On our travel day we did use a 20min transfer to see the Dome of Cologne, a huge imposing cathedral that is impressive inside and out. The exciting part was seeing it with all our packs and ...

... went into town together and she showed me an amazing new book shop out of a previous cinema, the Metropole. While the offering of books was the usual, nothing deep or questioning except for Jesus, the arrangement was excellent. We then went to the Argentinian restaurant for dinner and talked for hours. This time has felt like the completion of a circle/cycle. We are all getting older and closer to retirement sad to say. I hope we will all ...
