... the parade. With pockets filled with candy, as the parade ended we followed the crowd toward bratwurst stands and more pubs packed with people in costume. For the rest of the day, we hopped from pub to pub, making our best attempt to sing along with the popular German songs that kept playing. The elderly couple managed to climb 533 steps to the top of Cologne Cathedral this morning so despite the adverse comments yesterday we are not quite dead yet.
