    ... to the trip!  There aren't any trains or airports into the country either.  The entire country is so mountainous that straight roads aren't possible.  Extremely long tunnels have been dug in some areas, but they don't get too far through the mountain.  Before long we were again winding through the narrow mountain roads. Thursday morning Nancy and I completed my Cathar pilgrimage by driving to Montsegur, the last mountaintop refuge for about 500 surviving Cathars.     On Monday, after Carl and Nancy went for a bike ride and I, a walk, we returned to Mirapoix for the Monday market, parking the lime green VW bug near the centre ville at the home of friends of Carl and Nancy.
