Today we boarded the bus at 8:30 to drive to the medieval town of Pezenas. It was a very charming - cute little shops everywhere. We strolled around the town and took in the sites. There was an interesting Door Museum, which we wandered through and saw doors as old as the 16th century. The whole day was without the frenzy of a million tourists which made it very relaxing. We had a lovely lunch, some had crepes and some had beautiful salads. After lunch ...

Keep the comments coming in, we do read them - we just don't have time to respond to ...

... Something in the transmission to the rear wheels, possibly the differential. We are not amused!! Exactly the same as happened on Patrick's bike last year, also in France. Patrick very heroically peddles me and the dogs all the way back to the campsite. Call Hase bike shop in Montpelier and arrange to go in ...

We were awoken at 8:30 for breakfast as we wanted to be on our little bus at 9:00. It was quite a cool, windy morning (the Mistral) but still sunny. We drove about 30 minutes from where we docked at Arles to the Saint Paul Mental Institution where Vincent Van Gogh spent time. It was a very restful place, with beautiful gardens interspersed with examples of his work. There were sunflower and iris gardens and his bedroom as it was. ...
