    Very highly recommended - location great for train station, bus station, old down and big avenue. Maps provided, all very good

    ... Dave won the honour of taking him on first, soundly beaten it was then my turn. First one to 13 points wins and within 3 hands I was 7-0 down, but with bulldog spirit and a little luck I got back to 7-6, then it was 11-6, 11-8, and then Charlie despatched me 13-8.     ... pretty good English and I practice my forgotten German on him it does make him laugh so at least that's good. Over the way an English couple in a motorhome, haven't learnt their names yet but had a good chinwag with him, he's a ex BT engineer took redundancy and now retired so we shared a few stories. The downside is he's an Arsenal fan and wants me to come and watch the cup final on Saturday with him in the bar, I will of course but "come on villa" happy ...

    We were awoken at 8:30 for breakfast as we wanted to be on our little bus at 9:00. It was quite a cool, windy morning (the Mistral) but still sunny. We drove about 30 minutes from where we docked at Arles to the Saint Paul Mental Institution where Vincent Van Gogh spent time. It was a very restful place, with beautiful gardens interspersed with examples of his work. There were sunflower and iris gardens and his bedroom as it was. ...
