... got out of the shops and on the road. On the highway one of the side doors to the water popped open and we had to pull over. That is when I realised that it was Friday the thirteenth. We were awoken at 8:30 for breakfast as we wanted to be on our little bus at 9:00. It was quite a cool, windy morning (the Mistral) but still sunny. We drove about 30 minutes from where we docked at Arles to the Saint Paul Mental Institution where Vincent Van Gogh spent time. It was a very restful place, with beautiful gardens interspersed with examples of his work. There were sunflower and iris gardens and his bedroom as it was. ...
