    ... what is left will be preserved. However, there are signs to warn you not to visit on windy or wet days as great lumps of rock simply drop off and some are huge. There is a very large church at the base of the elevated castle and the inside does not match the out and is quite beautiful, we assume most of this splendour was paid for out of the tolls over the centuries.     Phil took Tess for an early morning walk only to find market stalls all the way alongside the canal where we enjoyed our walk in the sunshine yesterday when we were in town and there were about 50 transit vans but he only brought back bread though. Last night was quieter, we could only hear the lions a couple of times and this morning they're packing up to leave. The camels, lamas and horses are at the side of the road grazing (no lions). ...

    ... motored into Beziers but only had time for a brief look and a spot of lunch. Sue and Louise had a brief shopping splurge at the Polygone Shopping centre and Sue wanted to go back there again this year. Suits me fine. Beziers seemed like a place that needed more exploring and is about half way to our Pyrenees destination, so a good stopover point.
