Started our trek back to where we started late morning, the Don pinched a bike from the hire place before they opened to go up to the store for some breakfast supplies. A pleasant day spent on board cruising but it was a long one being eight hours on the water. We all assumed a role as the 17 locks become same same, this is not to say that we were uninterested but a hard boat to paddle with ...

I had a struggle with that as I was leaving because I couldnt understand what the lady at register was asking. All I knew was how to say merci haha.

Anyways I finally got to sleep and it was wonderful. Today we get to explore Metz!! So excited!!

    ... about overkill!

We started back to Dudelange craving a cold drink. Europeans don't do cold. You can buy a somewhat cool beverage, but very rarely anything cold. By this time we were dying for ice. In desperation, we bought bags of frozen peas and used them for ice in our insulated grocery bags. Back at the hotel, I begged the bartender for ice, he gave me a small bowl which I think may have been most of what he had! We parceled it out like it was gold.
