        Day 11: Slow but beautiful start from Saarbrücken

        ... around Luxembourg to be on the right way. The problem was an enticing sign for a bike route to Luxembourg.

        I won't say it wasn't beautiful. And there were no cars. And we had a beautiful camping spot in the evening.

        But we took a whole day zig-zagging in the direction of Luxembourg without really making progress.

        So. We've finally reached our sort of halfway point in the tour. Saarbrücken. This is the city where Jan grew up, and so we thankfully could stay with his mom and dads.

        ... it doesn't get better while riding. So we just pushed on, the waiting Doner-Kebap always in mind like the carrot on a stick.

        It got easier when we hit the river and it's bike trail shortly after Herbitzheim and again after Sarreguemines, from where it had signs on each crossing with the distance to Saarbrücken.
