We plan to mostly do backpackers and similar places. It worked wonders in south africa and the new-zealanders are supposedly even friendlier (as if! ha!)

Dinner that night was a traditional Germany meal (for Silvesterabend) – Raclette, or melted cheese – like a fondue but you don’t dip, they have a set of individual trays (one for each person) and you put whatever you want on the tray, cover it with Raclette cheese and then put it under a burner ...
... and handbag, find the last items that I hadn't packed yet, put most of it in the car and put some more songs on my I-pod. Which takes a lot more time than I had anticipated but at least it's done.
The next update you can expect when I have arrived, as I am now going to spend the rest of my evening with my parents and siblings.
