... we stopped at the restaurant for lunch, and a well deserved rest. During our lunch break the clouds came down quite quickly, and looked like it was going to rain, so we made a bee line for the gondola and took that back down to the town we are staying in. It was a really nice way to spend the day, and definitely one of the highlights of our tour. This week is ...

We took a private bus to the beginning of the walk. After a hair rising trip to the beginning of the hike we arrived to find what we expected to be a leisurely stroll, was to be accompanied by thousands of other hikers. Quite amazing given it was mid week and supposedly outside travel season. The hike was pleasant and ...

... castle grounds (Puis ca change, puis c'est la meme chose). From there we took a bus back to Poprad. These towns we visited were both within 25 km. from Poprad. This time we had some challenges with getting a taxi back to our Penzione - we eventually had to ask a hotel clerk to call us a cab. Seems like taxi drivers do not want to go to Spišská Slobota. Since it was close to 8 pm, we returned to the Atrium restaurant for a simple meal of sausage, ...
