As soon as we crossed the boarder we noticed a severe decline int the quality of the roads. They were very bumpy and contained many pot holes..

We travelled through Podkrivan and Hirinova to reach our lunch stop at Brezno. However about 5km from lunch the heavens opened and the rain came down. Lunch. Was at Resturant "Elf Restauracia" were we sat outside under cover and ...

... into the heart of them. Arriving at a green plateau filled with small shrubs, streams run through them like viens. A towering waterfall draws my ear as I gaze at the remnants of snow from the past winter. Feeling like I'm in the center of a volcano I do a 360 spin and say 'thanks Tatras'. ...

We hit the road at around 9 this morning for the 2 hour journey through Poland to a quiet little alpine town called Zakopane. It was absolutely stunning here and the heat was a lot more bearable as it was slightly overcast. Thunderstorms and torrential rain had been forecast but fortunately it held off for the entire day. After checking in to the hostel we all headed out into the town, passing over beautiful rivers and through lush green meadows. Whilst walking ...
