... were: the Duomos in Florence and Siena, as well at the cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi.

The best walks were a two-way tie: the ramparts in Lucca and the city walls in Dubrovnik.

The total trip experience was enhanced by the friendliness of the people in each country – Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, and U.K. They are to be praised and thanked profusely.

... disposed of once the race started. This made for very funny sites from garbage bags, bathrobes, towels, rain ponchos, sweaters, jackets, and mylar blankets!. Alison and I made our way to our start corral and then hung out there until the other Corrals started. We were entertained by a DJ and the fairy godmother came to start the race! ... a further sense of calm because these calm professionals lend this air to the situation. It appeared that a woman in a power chair may not have seen a curb and drove one wheel off which tipped her to the ground in the pouring rain. (Pouring being an understatement.) Family was being well cared for and calmed whilst first responders attended her needs. I looked around and saw how many in the crowd had frozen watching in awe - but from a careful distance. ... well go now. This was also definitely worth the wait. Like the Minions, the Simpsons and Spiderman, it was a simulator ride, but it moved around on a track whilst you were watching different screens or moving through different parts of the castle. Really entertaining stuff!

I was about to go on the Dragon Challenge (a roller coaster where two trains 'race' each other) but it was temporarily closed, so we sat down and tucked into the chocolate frog ...
