      ... s, crazy parking (we never parked on a corner or double parked so we are clearly not locals!) snowy mountain roads and everything in between. I must admit, I was relieved to sign it back in. We have checked in at an Airport hotel tonight to save us having to drive through the "traffico intenso" tomorrow morning. It is almost goodbye Italy, for now ...

      ... to be walking around and seeing the view from up high. The sun was setting when we rode the funicular back down and we spent some lazy time wandering around the waterfront area near our hotel.

      We did laundry that night at a small four-machine laundromat around the corner and the kids went out for a late snack at a hole-in-the-wall donair shop near the hotel.

      Went walking with D from MonzaBabel (thanks for organising that D) et al today to the Lake Como region. We joined another 'Meetup' group, the website I used to join a language exchange here in Monza.

      Our group today consisted of two kiwis, one Australian, one Englishman, a Scot and 4 Italians.

      After driving to the small town of Argegno (again thanks D), north of Como ...

      ... to head back to the room for some much needed rest. We put the tv on to realize everything was in Italian. Neil momentarily passed out and Maria worked on some computer organization and watched national geographic and American pickers in Italian. After eating so much at lunch, we weren't ready for dinner yet so we hit the designer clothing alley for a little shopping.
