    ... first we ask the two train conductor guys which platform and they say you need to catch the such and such line. They told us to look on the board and when the train was assigned a platform number we would know. well! That was completely incorrect so we asked a train lady and she didn't know either.     ... the first time since 2009 due to various health issues.

    This time we didn't obey some of my golden rules as well as we should .....I have a strong preference for apartments and not hotels, hate stays of less than 3 days, love being able to walk for a coffee / pastry and struggle without good internet. We missed on a few of these this time - won't happen again

    I should also make special mention of Jasmine and Dario - Allen ...

    ... local Cantinas and then enjoyed a long lunch sampling a few more. Our final evening was spent trying to cook our own Florentine T-bone on the bbq, a relative success but perhaps we should leave that one to the professionals. A short stop in Lucca enabled us to stretch our legs on our way to the Cinque Terre as we walked around the 4km city walls. A lovely lunch washed down with a final glass of Chianti Classico was a perfect end to our time in Tuscany, something tells me we'll come back ...

    ... to head back to the room for some much needed rest. We put the tv on to realize everything was in Italian. Neil momentarily passed out and Maria worked on some computer organization and watched national geographic and American pickers in Italian. After eating so much at lunch, we weren't ready for dinner yet so we hit the designer clothing alley for a little shopping.
