    Dolomites to Paris

... to arrive some other lady couldn't carry her tray and suitcase so I carried her tray for her to her table. Again she was thankful. I'm hoping after the few good deeds for the day my karma has leveled out. We caught the flight to Paris and checked into our hotel, the Mercure. It was very fancy. We knew it was going to be expensive and toyed with the idea of going back to the airport for dinner but decided out of convenience to have it at the hotel restaurant. I had a cheese ...

    The Dolomites Day 2

... We packed our suitcase ready for the journey home then went downstairs for a beer at the bar. In Italy they give you tapas like potato chips, bruschetta, sandwiches or olives etc. when you order a beer, even a small. It's a good idea! If we had this in Perth we wouldn't have so much drunken behaviour because people always have food in their stomach. ... this first before doing the bog laps! Anyway I went across and noticed that they were closed until 5pm. The exact time our bus to the accommodation was supposed to leave. I had also read online that taxis here were really expensive but it was looking like we weren't going to have much choice to get to our accommodation except by a taxi. 5pm rolled around and we ducked into the ski office thinking it would be a case ...

    When in Rome

... contains paintings by Caravaggio - the fancy shopping streets which were not very backpacker friendly but did house the offices and factory of my hero Velentino!! Overlooking the whole Tridente area is a lovely park called Trinita dei Monti where I ate lunch and took in the sights and sounds of this marvellous city - pity I was interrupted by the horrible selfie stick and flower sellers. Exploring this area during the day was brilliant and very beautiful at night ...
