... not. The waitress got every order wrong too. Left there about 9.30, had a stroll then back to pack. Off on the next leg tomorrow. This hotel has been fabulous. Friendly, helpful people, well appointed rooms, spotlessly clean. All linen and china is monogrammed. They even bought a toaster after I asked for toast the first morning and they didn't have one. After a relatively easy journey (we managed to not get scammed that is) we arrived in the quiet town of Ayutthaya where we found a guesthouse owned by a super sweet thai lady who spoke zero English. Thai people might be the sweetest people I've met anyways. There was the woman on the train that constantly wanted to show me her selfies that she took way too close to her face, ...

    Barrea to Pescasseroli

    ... 30th May

John cycled into town this morning and managed to pick up a walking map. We started our walk just outside the campsite and headed up through woods on what in winter would be the ski pistes. We passed a couple of ski lifts on the way. At the top of the valley, we headed over the saddle and trekked steeply downhill to a lovely open valley area which had picnic tables and a refuge. After lunch, we climbed up through ...
