Three other teacher friends and I went to Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, for the weekend. It was an amazing trip starting off with a very early train ride on Saturday morning. The hostel we stayed in was a bit from the train station, so they gave us a treasure map to find its location. The hostel was a great find, especially for the price, about $11US per night.

... fun. Can't wait to get it within a few weeks!

Another thing I want to do is to learn surfing. Apparently Taiwan has some decent waves. Maybe I'll learn it in Keelung, which is my dad's hometown and a location that he used to take my brother and I to before we moved to Canada. It's most popular for its beaches.

Last thing to do would be to come up with designs and furnishings for my apartment in Banqiao! My parents picked my uncle to do ...

Reach Taipei airport at about 2pm. Follow the sign to a corner where all the bus company operates. Bought a ticket to Taipei Main station (about NT100). This is a good "base" station as there is also the train, MRT and HSR stations.

... of my travels will have to step aside for a while, now. A combination of several things * will make me go south of the island from tomorrow on. A week of sun, sea, surf and nature in Kenting.

... 8217;clock at night? I have no idea. I paced the immense arrival suite from end to end waiting for some sort of sign. What sign? I had no idea? From a poster on the wall I surveyed the intricate web of bus, train, and subway routes. My head bounced around in a daze and nothing made sense.
