Three other teacher friends and I went to Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, for the weekend. It was an amazing trip starting off with a very early train ride on Saturday morning. The hostel we stayed in was a bit from the train station, so they gave us a treasure map to find its location. The hostel was a great find, especially for the price, about $11US per night.

Another thing I want to do is to learn surfing. Apparently Taiwan has some decent waves. Maybe I'll learn it in Keelung, which is my dad's hometown and a location that he used to take my brother and I to before we moved to Canada. It's most popular for its beaches.

From a poster on the wall I surveyed the intricate web of bus, train, and subway routes. My head bounced around in a daze and nothing made sense.
