Murano is a small group of islands joined together by bridges within the Venetian lagoon, it's about 1.5 km from Venice and easy to get to on a vaporetto (it takes about 15 min). It is very famous for the glass that has been made there for the last 700 years. Emma has been going crazy over Murano jewellery. Necklaces, bracelets, beads, anything made of Murano glass. ...

      ... island being Torcello. This island is more of a farming island and has the historic Basilica di Torcello. After a short look around we got back on to the boat and head back to the Venice. On arrival, we hired a Gondola ride around the canals before doing some shopping and having dinner. Tomorrow we pack up and head off to the city of Milan.
