... there it was closed. Back to Brig and taking the car-train at the Lotschberg Tunnel and on to Grindelwald for the night. Unfortunately the clouds were hanging low over the mountains so we couldn't see the tops.
Maybe tomorrow we might see Jungfrau and or the Eiger, a 13,000ft mountain overlooking the village.

... There were a lot of stops along the way with scenic overlooks, hiking spots and restaurants. We had a German lunch of bread and sausage at the cafe next to Lake Mummelsee, and did a short 2 km hike on a trail leading to a waterfall. I was not looking forward to today, a long day traveling between Baden-Baden and Old Minster Lovell.
I was not disappointed.
Left the hotel at 9.15. Walked to the bus stop, they say the journey of a lifetime starts with a single step, and so it does. Caught the bus to the station. Had left myself plenty of time, so cappuccino time. Bus to Baden-Karlsruhe airport, takes 40 minutes. Sat around after checking in to Ryanair, departed on time. They are such tired old planes ...
