... to be flowing from left to right. When you stand in the center, the river appears to flow from top to bottom and when you stand on the left side the river appears to flow from right to left. Such clever people, I can not imagine how they did that. There was a similar tapestry in the Vatican Museum.

... We found a nice place for lunch down by the water and enjoyed a nice long lunch of pasta and wine. Tonight we are eating out and can pick from a few local restaurants that our tour director has recommended. Had a great meal at our restaurant - perfectly cooked steak and Julie had her favourite rack of lamb. Together with great wine, the evening was a success. ...

... is probably the best that we have stayed in during this trip. We had the afternoon free as there was an optional tour to one of the islands on the lake, however we have done enough boat cruises now to last us for a while.
