... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

This is a simple hotel, with simple rooms, with a simple breakfast, that will do job.
If you want a pool, a breakfast with 3 miles and a runaway to put the car...this is not what you are looking for.

... upon a womderful little french themed italian restaurant where we were warmly greeted and had a great meal. The spagetti primi platti I had was divine and was simply egg spagetti, butter, pepper and flakes of parmesan. Something I have learnt on this trip is that the Italians do not drench their pasta with sauce, the sauce is actually quite sparse.

Pierluigi and his partner Antonella drove us in their two cars to the station to catch the 10.25 train to Milan. From there we got a taxi to our hotel. After the spacious rooms in our BnB and in our apartments and the 5 star hotels on the tour, it was a bit of a shock to walk into a small hotel room. This is an Ibis hotel and we have a standard room but it's only for one night! It has everything we need. Once settled ...
