I think we were on the road before 08:00 this morning. We had a very short uphill section from our overnight stop to rejoin the delightful road which runs over the Cisa pass, and then we were on our way. Again there had been a lot of rain in the night (once more with thunder and lightening) but it had stopped by the time we emerged. From then the day just got better and better and ...

There isn’t much to report from yesterday. It was basically a rest day that involved wandering around Morbegno’s streets as well as running a few personal errands.

There were a few cars parked and then a sign we were unsure about - did it mean no entry? Or no parking? We thought it meant the road was one way and in our direction so we continued on a bit only to find it got so narrow that the car was hardly fitting. We decided that maybe the sign had said it was a pedestrian road only. So Wendy now had to ...

Learning to ride a bike in Robecco

... grows. The breeze lifted my spirit and carried me carelessly into the unknown. And for the first time in a long time, I am beginning to be unafraid, disregarding my own need to project perfection. I still wobble along the road, awkwardly mount and dismount a bike that doesn’t quiet fit. My eyes have been opened like never before. Only now I am able to maintain forward momentum and still took a breath, took time to really look and absorb the scenery and just as equally appreciate ...
