      ... The ferry took off, bucked and weaved in the high seas and water came over the two metre sides and wet the car. Got off and made our way to Taormina Sicily where after three laps of the town, found our Hotel on the side of a mountain, vey picturesque.       ... It then took me an hour walking around the town asking different people and having to go back to the vets to find the pharmacy to get the prescription - yes the pharmacy where we would get medicine for ourselves also sell the dog medicine - after 3 pharmacies I got it !!! Tia's eye looks better after one dose so sure will be better ...

      ... and lava jewellery stores. Upon enquiry we found the very odd pineapple ceramic items were in fact acorns and in Sicily are placed for welcoming guests. A good explanation but it did not make any of us rush out to buy one to haul about Sicily.   I parted with the group and luckily found the hotel again.       Buon giromo

      The rooster might have crowed this morning and the train might have delivered 14 commuters somewhere but not for ears in our room at Borgo di Santa Barbara. So if you like off the map somewhat and entertaining pizza chefs this is the place for you...and a mere €80.       ... tracks and call it a road! We became hopelessly lost and had to phone our hotel manager Mauro who came to our rescue on his scooter to show us the way! He said the only traffic worse than Sicily in the world is Bangkok! We are beginning to believe it!
