Then we spotted the cargo that was no doubt leading to the offensive odor…..an open dump style truck with a layer of clams and mud in the bottom! What a smell! Exploring Puerto Montt
The past few days have been solely travel days... a little bit of backtracking to get us to our next destination, the Chilean lakes district. We returned to El Calafate for one night, then took a 6 hour bus ride back to Puerto Natales. Puerto Varas...last few days in Chile
This is a top pick!
... so we have a nice 1 hour bus journey in the rain, got out at Ensenada, walked in the rain for 20 mins to try find a cake place then back on the bus for 1 hour and back to hostel to hibernate.
We did make it out at night for dinner at a Cuban restaurant (Mi Cuba) with a British couple (Dan & Jen) from the hostel which was really good so the day wasn’t a complete write off!
