... enough to lift up the clouds on the volcano.

Our last stop before coming back to the ship was the markets, the fish market and the craft market. It turned out the market was very close to the pier. We walked through it and I got a few souvenirs. We got back on the ship before 4.

This was out last stop and excursion of this cruise, before we get off at Valparaiso the day after tomorrow. Time to start packing!

... They wait until pieces fall off into the water. This stuns and kills the fish swimming where the fall occurs and the gulls swoop in to take the fish floating to the surface. Ready made meals! Then he cut the engine and we were able to listen to the glacier. We could hear it making very loud bangs and creaks as it moved. It was really very noisy. It lasted 14 seconds at least as I did not look at my watch until he was already well in to it. According to the little box on the corner of the screen CC were playing UE. ... fuel then parked, the third time I'd been to this airport, and maybe the last, at least with my plane.

I decided to stay in Puerto Montt instead of Puerto Varas, it was only for one night and the taxi ride is shorter and the fare is cheaper: 12,000 pesos versus 20,000 pesos to Puerto Varas. I got a room overlooking the bay to south which provide an interesting scene of boat traffic moving in and out of this port.
