Pancho and the "panchos"
... we met a runner coming westward, and we later turned around to see him patting the little fur ball, who was now attaching her hopes to this new mysterious stranger. I had never told Irina, for fear that this might convince her that we HAD to take the pup, but in my head I had given her a name, as she walked next to us. Her name was Pancho. Good luck Pancho, wherever you might be now.
Calluco was a small sleepy beach resort. ...
The Navimag
... everything was I'm sorry I'm french or was it I'm sorry, I'm French, a hungarian (Aliz) a 19 year old farmer from shropshire (James), a couple from Canada and Rafi (the Mexican from california) some random game of cards where noone could understand the point of the game. I kept asking Iain if he was sure this wasnt supposed to be one of those drinking games that gets better with alcohol. He looked very indignant at this comment!! This game didnīt ever get played again ...

We will hope that we do not have any downwind legs on this trip or we will be smelling this some more!
Off to our cabin, which is indeed 4 bunks with a small cabinet at the foot of each. There is a good ...

We returned to El Calafate for one night, then took a 6 hour bus ride back to Puerto Natales. There we picked up all the belongings we had left behind while hiking and re-packed our now much heavier backpacks. We also ate at an incredible restaurant called Afrigonia, which served ...
Puerto Varas...last few days in Chile
... so we have a nice 1 hour bus journey in the rain, got out at Ensenada, walked in the rain for 20 mins to try find a cake place then back on the bus for 1 hour and back to hostel to hibernate.
We did make it out at night for dinner at a Cuban restaurant (Mi Cuba) with a British couple (Dan & Jen) from the hostel which was really good so the day wasn’t a complete write off!
