... was when I called my grandparents in Florida. They were hosting my uncle, cousins, and Melanie and that my grandma had to get off the phone so she could put the turkey in the oven. For a moment I felt like I was there with them. Other than that it is sad missing out on such a great day but I took it pretty well. I am enjoying Spain too much to be all that sad. It was fun talking to my grandma. She told me that she saw my belly ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands skivail89The train trip from Barcelona to Malaga, Spain took just about 5 hours on one of the super-fast trains in Spain. After having our passports checked and our backpacks x-rayed at the train station of Barcelona, we took the escalator down to the loading area. This was the first (and only) train we have traveled on that felt like an airport security check. Each train car had a host to guide us to our seats after checking our tickets ...
Frigiliana, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands jennyandpaul2... Alex, Maria, Juan, and two friends from an intercambio) were all super proud of me. No pasa nada!
Afterwards we went to a bar where they played a lot of older Spanish songs…very good and upbeat even though some were from the 60’s. Also, after I left the bathroom in the bar I saw Maria standing waiting for the girls bathroom and she called me over. She had met a girl from Jaen in the line and I talked a little bit to ...
... ill but it was cheap and filled us up.
We went to a place called Montys bar where they had a live act on we thought it was going to be really cheesy but it turned out to be ok. Steve the man who was playing was really good and played lots of old classics man rock songs so Ian liked it and I enjoyed it to. We then stagered back to our room around midnight a little drunk again. Looks like we are fitting right in with this holiday.
... the ferry over to Algeciras it only took an hour and half and then we where in spain, I felt a huge weight lift as now we can relax a little. In morroco you are always on edge always watching and not trusting people that it makes you a little crazy. So we went and got our bus tickets and we waited in a little bus station cafe and had our first taste of Spanish food. Ian had some paella and I had some meatballs ...
Torremolinos, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands traceybelle... I had to go do some other things outside of the apartment so I left for a half an hour or so. When I came back, Mang´s door was open. I asked her if Jose had come home – he hadn’t. She had sat down (finally) and felt something in her back pocket. Her keys were in her pocket the whole time! Pretty ridiculous!
I need to run some errands since it is my only weekday off today, but hopefully I’ll be able to write more later!!!
Bye!
... stood there as always in Spain, smiling and trying to understand but not really understanding much of what is going on. Didn´t mind at all though, I am rather patient learning the language and can´t force miracles to happen. Then after a large discussion at home about roommate´s -tv man- Manuels habit of not participating in any household chore, Pablo went to eat tapas with me, at two places and finally we ate a crepe and drank tea in a tetería. I generally like the nightly ...

Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands warmMalaga Rocks! The only thing I have done in 3 days is leisurely lounge on the beach. It is so soothing to lay close to the water and listen to the waves crash against the rocks. The tapas are excellent! Last night we tried out a different tapas bar. Deliciouso! And mucho cheapo! jejej My pants will not button soon. After dinner we walked the beach ...
Malaga, Spain timbertime... lot of stuff going on there - there was a huge lit up gate in the front - you had to go through it to get in - there were tons of people at the Feria. One side had fun rides and the place where we went had the bars and little tavernes that served food and drinks. There were really traditional ones - the front walls painted with pictures of Spanish things like girls in Flamenco dresses or fans! Really nice! All the bars were next to each other and the ...
