San Jose is not an attractive city. The streets are dirty and most buildings are old and in disrepair. It was what we had been told to expect. No one was surprised.

We finally made it to the bar which had two rooms, one with a live band that was really fun and another playing popular dance music. The room with the live band was packed and hot so we had to alternate between the two. We stayed out until very late and said our goodbyes. I got to bed with only 2 hours left before the alarm was to go off... It was a fun night ...

... and full of old colonial architecture. Plus sam managed to make a small fortune busking. On our last night we went out in search of a cool place for dinner our lonely planet recommend. Happily that place didn't actually exist, but while searching for it we found a really cool art gallery / bar / restaurant / live music venue. It was three stories of awesome in a beautiful old building. So we got some food and some drinks, checked out the amazing art, and bopped ...
