Ìles des Saintes

A travel blog entry by skdude on May 31, 2014

Next stop were the islands of Les saints to poke around and find more picturesque bays. On the way we paid a visit to a noted snorkeling spot, pigeon island! We spend a good couple of hours here, snorkeling and exploring the underwater life, which was less than expected, but still provided a good distraction. a real opportunity to use my underwater camera to capture more than just the vast deep blue of the Atlantic ocean! ...

Guadeloupe

A travel blog entry by skdude on May 27, 2014

We departed for Guadeloupe at noon leaving behind the tranquil waters which had treated us well over the last 4 days. It was about a 4 hours sail. Dad was proud that he managed to understand the French instructions when even some of the French didn’t! The highlight of the dive was at the end when a water bottle was passed around. ...

... islands of Les Saintes in the distance.

Imprinted on the bottom of the pool was an Iguana, and from the front verandah there were three real live iguanas to check out!!! Dinner and breakfast were provided for all guests at the open air dining table. We all enjoyed the outstanding food and getting to know our fellow guests. There was a lovely family of four staying from Aix-les-Bains. The girls Heloise and ...
