Yesterday left Positano. We took a shuttle to Salerno then picked up a car from Avis. The coast road from Positano to Salerno was truly breathtaking and the driver quite friendly and tried to explain a few sights along the way. Headed south and stopped at some Greek ruins in Paestrum which dated back to BC. Weather a little cold and rainy or we probably would have stayed longer. Took the scenic root to Marina di Camerota. Stopped at Bascillicata and had a late lunch at a little pizzeria. ...

It was finally time to say goodbye to Sicily. There is much we had seen and so much more that we had wanted to see. We will long remember the people and the food as much as we will the sights we saw. While we hope to return some day, we leave knowing that we enjoyed our time here.

We headed off at about 9am and drove down the main road south for an hour to the town of Palinuro. Here we waited for a boat to take us out to the caves that this area is renown for. Finally after some delays we headed out at 12:30. We went to three different caves and then ended up at a beach for a swim.
