        We had a chilled weekend and this evening we went for a walk down on the local beach and took some more photos back up to the village in which we are staying. Years ago it was a major venue for mass bridge tournaments so it is called the "Villagio Dei Bridge" - but now it has a few full time residents, but most of the apartments are either holiday homes or no longer used.         ... Camerota. On the on the way back down the coast, we spotted a statue, way up on top of one of the mountains and decided to go and find it !! It was the statue Il Redentore which was literally on top of the mountain, with a platform specially built for it, and the small church next to it, complete with a hair-raising bit of track on stilts to get up there.         ... but two days was enough, it's not close enough to the coast and if you haven't a car then you are really quite restricted with what you can see and do. It was very kind of our hosts to act as our chauffeurs, but we paid them for it. It wasn't exactly a free service, although we didn't have to pay nearly the same as a specified taxi service.         ... tricky question to answer. So we just went for medium.

        It turned out we had agreed to a sort of mini banquet. It was nice but we were really tired by now and so ate up and then headed back to our B&B where we still couldn't get to our room before having to share a Limoncello with the owner.

        In the end we finally re entered our room at 10:30pm.
