The three of us have sat down with the map of Europe laid flat.

From The Heel of Italy, our plan is to head north, visit Lecce, more baroque architecture then inland to the white city of Ostuni. Next, the Truli houses at Alberobello, before finally setting up camp for a week near Foggia.

Gallipoli - Apulia or Pulgia - commune of Lecce


We have found a campsite at the bottom of the heel of Italy near Gallipoli (not to be confused with the battleground of World War 1 in Turkey). The camp site has everything, good walks for me, a bar for Signor and a washing machine for Signora. I think we may be here for at least a week, looking at the size of the laundry basket.
