Island in the middle of a Lake: Bled
Early in the morning we went to the salt fields. Since it was the off season there weren't any workers there but it was still really cool to see. We got to take a tour with our guide (who showed us the whole city throughout the week) and see a video with the process of how the salt is harvested. It was really crazy to see the huge white piles of salt. There was so much and this salt is known for its striking color. After ...
Summer Toboggan
... off round a few bends. Then had time for a drink at the bottom of the slopes in the crisp sunshine before setting off for the airport.
Stopped briefly on the way at Bled for a last wander round the lake and a last bit of cake! Once we reached the airport we had a little picnic on the grass outside, where I'm sure I saw a rat/vole thing, before checking in and jetting home.

But we were able to take it back and munch it sat on our balcony, all wrapped up with a very satisfying view and sunset.

Kranjska Gora Hike
... bear print :D So then we were on lookout all the way back trying to spot one but alas to no avail. Did find another bear track though (although this one was perhaps maybe slightly more questionable, but you surely don't have dogs that big?!)
After a long days hiking we did stumble out into civilisation again, very satisfied with our days exploring in the beautiful wilderness! Drove back to Bled, had some grub and caught some zzzz's.
