... tongues. Ohh that’s right we are the foreigners.

Luckily we are in Bohnj for the 9th International Wild Flower Festival and it is what it says, fields and mountains of wild flowers. …... It really is all in the planning! There is a huge amount of adventures to do here, we include some canoeing and a day bike ride through the most incredible mountains and fields of wild flowers to a Slovenian restaurant ...

... on Roman fortifications, developed in the Renaissance, taken over by the French, then by the Austrians, and finally returned to the city itself in the 1900s. The architecture is a bizarre mix of Renaissance beauty and World War practicality. We were informed that San Daniele del Friuli is the place to go for authentic prosciutto so that was our lunch stop. The enormous platter of prosciutto was fantastic with soft sheep's ...

... bus. A super trip and well worth every penny. We have lunch again at the Park Cafe on the waterfront before retiring to our shady balcony to rest a while before walking round to St Martin's church which overlooks the lake up in the village. There has evidently been a small chapel here for 1000 years which was extended into a baroque church which was demolished in 1903 and replaced with the current ...
