    UNFEIGNED LOVE...
    In the small town of Portopalo di Capo Passero on the southeastern tip of Sicily, I encountered something I never expected to encounter. I had met dozens and dozens of people during my journey around the Mediterranean, but the person that God lead me to in Portopalo was different and interacting with him and being part of his world for a few days has changed my life.

    Met at the bus stop by my phone ringing. Roberto piled us all plus bags into his little merc, I was sitting on graham bag.
    Apartment lovely but quite a few step, 4th floor. Lucky Roberto carried jen n my bags. Fabulous balcony/roon top patio were we breakfast watching the rich n famous in their yachts.
    Only 28/30 here - cool.
    Walked to the parque archeologico. Huge greek/roman ruins in the middle of the new city.

    ... though.....

    We finally made it to Costanza and ordered straciatella for the girls, limone for Paolo and pistachio for me. It was DIVINE, but truthfully, the gelaterie in Scicli and Minori are just as good.....

    After lunch and a nap, we went to the beach from 5pm to 8pm...... Paolo and the girls played in the water for hours......

    Tomorrow we make the trek to Agrigento to visit Valle dei Templi...... Pray there is a Gelateria of some standing ...
