      It probably sounds boring but we have really loved our sea days. There is lots to do on board if you feel like it. Or you can just relax. We've done a bit of both going to the gym (once!); playing trivia (once), having a jacuzzi or just reading and looking at the ocean.       ... A huge modern church modelled on the shape of a teardrop. It houses a statue of the Virgin Mary that allegedly wept for five days in 1953 and bestowed more than 300 miraculous cures. When they were excavating to build the church they came across ancient ruins of an old church, apparently from when St John was in Syracuse.       ... we opened the door! Bellisimo!! it was like walking into paradise!! The views were to die for, with a long balcony giving an 180 view of the sea and across to Ortigia. The sea was just below and we could hear the waves it was great and so we began a wonderful week exploring beautiful Siracusa.
