The causeway we used to reach the island will be destroyed next month and visitors will begin to use a new bridge that was built to restore the water way surrounding the island. Silt had built up so high around the causeway it had begun to act as a dam. The tides here fluctuate as much as 50 feet, leaving large mud flats exposed.

... frogs leaping in the water as we approached and huge red and blue dragonflies. Guy kept his eyes peeled in the forest for any wild boar or deer but still no luck.
A lovely dip in the pool in the evening sunshine - still hot enough for me at 7pm to stay in for a while and a great game of volley ball beach ball!
