Cruise Phase 1
... the ports at the same time as us which makes it busy and crowded. As you would expect, most of our sightseeing is limited to the areas around the ports. Time and opportunity prohibits in depth exploring, but it certainly allows us to get the flavour of the different places we have visited.
While cruising might not be for everyone, it certainly has been a great experience so far. Very good if you want to practise your skill of striking up a conversation with random ...
Arrived in Heraklion
... feels like a small town, with a few cafe' and bars along the "high street" which leads you to the harbour where a pretty Venetian fortress stands tall and strong. We take a gentle stroll and a few pictures of the scenery before we sit down for an aperitif (non-alcoholic for me, boooo) and a lovely lunch underneath a tree, right in the middle of a small square just off the high street. Kreta

For reason I wasn’t so convinced and I was close to saying to Troy lets go to the airport but no we have already paid our ferry tickets.
So like a bunch of wild goats we follow each other and head to another ferry - Seajets. We wait in the hot ...
Goodbye Crete
... For 70 euro we grab a standard room. Our room has a great view of the ocean and the beach isn’t bad, covered with white chairs and four poster beds at this resort. 3.30pm and its lunch time so we walk up the street and it has mostly empty restaurants. We finally found a taverna open and saganaki, calamari, greek salad for lunch, Yum! Back to our resort for a nice swim in the pool which was fabulous and so refreshing. Having a chat to a young Italian girl ...
