... the driver didn't handle it. Come to think of it, a lorry load of margarine can cause as much damage as semtex would, as we have already seen.

The shuttle has generally become a routine slick operation, aside from the terminals, and so it was today. Coming back was very similar, with equally long queues at the French passport control, and the British, but the trains are quite effective.

…Now give me some Figgy Pudding!!

... is the beautiful municipal building, so we stroll over to take a closer look.  The clock tower is spectacular and around the building are well maintained gardens.  Close by there is a park and outside this are obligatory sculptures.   With our impressive but all too brief cultural tour over, it is now beer o'clock.  We give a dodgy looking bar a wide berth and head for "Bar Nondescript".  On entering we are discouraged from sitting at the bar ...
