... and opened a small hotel/spa on their grounds. The Gehry designed building (opened in 2006) dominates the countryside and certainly makes the winery a destination for the region. Tour buses now makes stops and other area wineries offer tastings and tours as well. We took a tour of the premises and the ageing and bottling process of the winery. ... never could figure out who was playing but the locals were sure into it. After the game as over a concert started and went on until 6 the next morning. This was the event that the hotel proprietor had warned us about. Sleeping in a 26 bunk dorm was surprisingly quiet until around 05.00 when the early birds start moving. Left them to get on with it and stayed snuggled in my fantastic sleeping bag. Still out and into the first cafe for Coffee by 6.30.
