    Mixed roads

A travel blog entry by budjuggler on Sep 13, 2014

Leaving Alarcon Castle was a bit of a challenge. It is a small village but Madame Satnav was going to get us out and back on to the main road. Wasn't she? Well, for a start she didn't seem able to recognise no entry signs or, indeed, roads that had flower pots strategically placed to prevent traffic! Eventually both cars separately made their way to the main road via a number of photo opportunities. During one of these, on a very quiet road out of ...

After traversing some rich farmland, we found ourselves winding through narrow country lanes. Fellow ...

... The Infrastructure is fantastic, wind farms are everywhere even solar farms pop up regularly not to mention the roads and high speed railway lines. OK, financially it may be a different story at the moment, but that can be rectified while Australias lack of forward planning is scary. We planned to stop over in Baeza but because of roadworks we never realised we were in Baeza until we saw the exit sign for the town. So we decided to just continue ...

... waterfall below and we stop for a couple photos. Nuria is very high energy and very animated when she speaks. Her energy is infectious. She is married and the mother of two lovely daughters. Her job is as a Project Manager for a computer company and is a stressful one. We continue our walk down the path and come upon a small barn/shed and there are three horses boarded there. I whistle at one and it makes a dog start barking. But the horse approaches slowly ...
