... Mountain. We caught the train the last part of the journey, very slow as the grades were very steep where we were then 800 mtrs. high. This area was first started by the Benedictine Monks where they built a monastery bringing all supplies up the steep tracks on horse back in the 1200's but this was destroyed by Napoleon in 1812. The monks have rebuilt the site, a magnificent church, residence for the 60 - 80 monks, hotel for guest & other ...

... and Trev, David and jackie, and Russ and judy and we all had a meal together in the balmy evening. Pizza. Really nice. After that sauntered back to the hotel to do a bit of washing and bed. Elevated foot, hope better tomorrow. Will help not having to be out in the morning. We went to the supermarket to buy a few groceries as we are staying in an apartment for a few days here, and ...

... 237;. Josep did not want his house to resemble any of the houses of the rest of the Batlló family, such as Casa Pía, built by the Josep Vilaseca. He chose the architect who had designed Park Güell because he wanted him to come up with a risky plan. The family lived on the Noble Floor of Casa Batlló until the middle of the 1950s. We watched the street vendors and got a kick out of them. It's illegal to sell counterfeit goods so they carry them in a ...

Well things worked out ok this morning in terms of getting to the airport on time. Pasqual arrived 5 minutes early to pick up the keys and we walked down the hill and around a cab straight away. Burn suerte! Arrived at the airport only to discover that we had forgotten our printed boarding passes. As we were on Ryanair that meant paying 15 euros each to get them printed. Blatant revenue raising! And the joke was that the checkin guy has to write out ...
