      ... of a recluse, wearing old clothes and he became very religious. He worked on the church for 22 years - living in it for 14 of his last years. He died after being hit by a tram.
      Much of Gaudi's plans were extemporaneous. However, there were plans which are being followed. The church is only half way completed. So if you go in your lifetime you will see construction. I did not like the audio guide here. We tried to get a English guide (person) but there wasn't one available when ...

      ... Gavina, inside (away from the smokers). Snooty staff, but the size of the meals, pfffft, skip the entre. We both ordered Paella (one fish, one meat). They were shown to us in the paella dish, then whisked away and served on a plate - what the??? They were good, but still not as good as the ones Auntie Viv or Blair can whip up (and @ EUR20 each!)       ... We checked in, dropped off our bags and headed back toward the coast for dinner and drinks.
      The beach was only about a mile from our hotel. On our walk down to the beach, we passed a giant canal, the Olympic Canal. This canal was used during the Barcelona summer Olympics in 1992.       ... head to Aire de Barcelona at 2pm for a massage and relax in the hot baths and spa. Back to hotel to get dressed up. Wander to watch the magic fountains of montjuic. Metro to Barceloneta beach for dinner at fine dining seaside restaurant, Arenal. After, head to the exclusive Eclipse bar on 26th floor and sip cocktails with a view of all Barcelona at night.
