... Mountain. We caught the train the last part of the journey, very slow as the grades were very steep where we were then 800 mtrs. high. This area was first started by the Benedictine Monks where they built a monastery bringing all supplies up the steep tracks on horse back in the 1200's but this was destroyed by Napoleon in 1812. After Montserrat we headed on towards Barcelona and then out to Castledeffels where we are staying. It is a beach about half an hour south of Barcelona. We are so pleased we are staying out here and not in Barcelona itself, as the place is VERY busy and huge and very crowded.

Well things worked out ok this morning in terms of getting to the airport on time. Pasqual arrived 5 minutes early to pick up the keys and we walked down the hill and around a cab straight away. Burn suerte! Arrived at the airport only to discover that we had forgotten our printed boarding passes. As we were on Ryanair that meant paying 15 euros each to get them printed.
