... En in de directe omgeving is niet zoveel te zien of te
doen.
Eerst betalen we onze
volgende nacht om daarna tot het besef te komen dat het best
mogelijke transport een nachtbus is. Dus vragen we heel zoetjes onze
centjes terug omdat we willen uitchecken. Het lukt, maar we moeten
wel onmiddellijk onze kamer leeg maken. We mogen wel in het hostel
blijven tot onze bus vertrekt. Dat is dan de ganse dag. Het klimaat
is tergend en zweten is ...

... A bit more in detail ? Here we go :

a) Woke up at 4 am, waited (in the rain) for a bus to the terminal, took a 6 am bus to Cucuata that arrived punctually at noon, after crossing a beautiful landscape that was hidden in the clouds and by the rain..

b) Took ab old US schoolbus "San Antonio directo" - where we managed to do entire 12 km in 100 minutes ! Resisting (not all of us) to all the people entering the bus for selling ...

In San Gil, we grabbed some lunch, followed by ice cream and marveled at how tired we felt from our water adventure. We then went to an ATM to begin withdrawing the large amounts of cash we would need to exchange for Venezuela. By the time all those chores were done, the abeseiling photos we were waiting for had arrived at our hostel and we were free to move ...
