Our flight out of Vancouver was delayed which meant that we only had 25 minutes in Toronto to transfer. It is a bit disconcerting to hear your names being called out over the PA System. Thankfully we are travelling only with carry-ons. Next stop Frankfurt with a delayed transfer to Hamburg. Arrived safely despite the delays and we took the train …

... station and easy to imagine how it would have been with all the steam trains stopping there, rather smokey I would think. I got so cold walking around the lake so headed back to the hotel for a coffee and a warm also to plan my next outing. I wanted to visit the International Maritime Museum so I had a look on the map and it seemed fairly straight forward so after a good rest and wam up I set off again, only 2 mins away from the hotel it started to snow ...

... muffin. Before I knew it we were boarding the plane and off we went on time. The flight only took 1hour 15mins and very smooth apart from the turbulence as we descended into the clouds over Hamburg, the airport was easy to navigate and found my way to the train station with ease, I struggled a little buying a ticket from one of the automated ticket booths, nothing wrong with the machine just me not getting how it works, easy really, choose your ...
