... So many were sent to Terezin to live in conditions that were intolerable. They were crammed into rooms, given little food but were allowed to practice their religion. At first the people of the city also lived there but eventually the about 3,000 city people were sent away. A gorgeous little town that straddles across the Elbe River in Germany. Highly touristy but very picturesque . Walked the Heinsteinwanderveg trail just magnificent Forrest and back to town via river and trout farm where you can have smoked trout on bread with a pickle. A very emotional day. We took a drive to. Town outside Prague called Terezin to visit the Small Fortress. It was built at the end 18th century as a fortress for empress Maria Theresa. Following the occupation in march 1939 the Prague Gestapo Police prison was set up. By the end of the war 32000 prisoners of whom 5000 were women had passed through the small fortress. National Park amazing rock hike

... Rock and if one got ahead of the other we would yell out "Miranda... Miranda...". It was funny at the time if you've seen the movie.
It took three trains to reach this little town on the edge of the national park from Prague and I'm so glad we left early.
Lastly if you do visit I recommend stopping at the white signs to try and find the rock formations they've pointed out, like The Giant's Trousers, the owl, the cat fish and the horses head to name but a ...
