In addition to footage shot the day of the Red Cross visit, total shooting time was eleven days. After the film was completed most of the cast and the director were shipped to Auschwitz.     ... not enough food, sanitary conditions, or medical care. Since it was a holding center used to house Jews until they were sent on to other camps it did not have a lot of the same features places like Auchwitz or Dachau would have. Honestly, if you just strolled around the town you would never know what had happened there.

    ... Rock and if one got ahead of the other we would yell out "Miranda... Miranda...". It was funny at the time if you've seen the movie.
