Carrer de la Solana 24 Pas de la Casa, Andorra, 736-800
Today was my last full day in Andorra. There wasn't a huge amount to do. It wasn't snowing, but the wind was so fierce that it seemed like a sand storm made out of snow. I had a great time watching a group of cows grazing in snow up to their stomachs. Other than that I had a walk around town and spent about an hour at a ...
Canillo, Andorra sirsmonkey42
After a long night on a surprisingly jam packed night train, I arrived at a train station about 1km from the Andorra border. I was slightly worried about my transportation from the train station at l'Hospitalet to my destination 26km into Andorra. The cryptic information information I was able to find on the web about buses told me that there were 2 per day, one leaving at 7:30am and the other 7:30pm. This was a bit disconcerting as my train arrived ...

Tarascon-sur-Ariège, Midi-Pyrénées, France 2totango... called ‘Patou’ are raised with a herd (Pyrenees mountain dogs). As a result they will guard and defend their animals from any predator they may face - including humans. If you happen to wander in range they will bark furiously and give you many warnings to get away. If you don’t heed the warnings - you’re at your own risk with a fierce dog that comes up to your ...
Marc, Midi-Pyrénées, France 2totango... names accompanied by dates. Locals exploring the area long ago and the first few archaeologists to grace the entrance marked their territory with the addition of a slightly more distinguished ‘so-in-so was here’. Dates of 1655 and 1848, with the earliest being 1602. Of course no one is allowed to do this anymore since the cave has been open to the public, but I think that my name and date would be very interesting in 300 years time!

Summiting the nearest peak, I could see through the East ranges, back towards the West, and a bit of the South as well. All around was the music of cowbells ringing above ...

Pas de la Casa, Andorra modernoddyseus... so familiarly and humanly that it seems to be pulling you up. At my blunt mountain´s top, a slim ridge ventured off towards another perpendicular ridge which I wanted to see over. Trailing this ridge, I stepped on disheveled rocks visible thanks to the snow-carrying wind. To the right, a snowy slope slanted steeply towards the apartment buildings of Pas de la Casa far below.
