Hotel China Town Inn Kuala Lumpur

After a long 12 and a half hour flight we arrived at KL airport at 6.30pm. We took the shuttle bus into the city, to catch the tube into Chinatown. Our hotel should have been easy to find (as we had a map & it was right next to the station) however it was hidden amongst the busiest market we've ever seen. So instead we spent an hour carrying our backpacks around Chinatown, whilst promising touts "yes we will be back to buy your dvd's and rolex watches, just as soon as we find our hotel". ...

Our flight over was much more comfortable than anticipated as we were upgraded to emergency aisle seats- a sign of things to come methinks! arrived in KL and made our way to our hotel which was in the middle of a busy market in china town. the hotel was ok, but if you ever stay at the China Town Inn make sure you dont stay on the ground floor, the noise of the printer going all night and gobby people phoning home at 5 in the morning was a bit grating! After a very cold night bus we arrived in Kuala Lumpur at around 6am. We headed towards Chinatown where we had a reservation at a hotel (Hotel China Town Inn) and luckily they let us check in straight away. So we went straight back to sleep until 10am! In KL we did the things that a proper tourist is suppsed to do; we went up to the bridge between the Petronas twin towers (bridge is at 170 m, towers themselves are 452 m; you all know them, the 2nd talles buildings in the world since 2004) and went up to the KL Tower (total hight 421 m, we've been at 276 m; the 4th highest radio tower in the world).
