... queue. I was a bit stunned to see army with full blown guns walking around, and so many police on the streets, best keep my bag close if it's that bad, ha. Then we had a big walk around before hanging out at the laundromat on our street to do some much needed washing. Once the house keeping was finished we headed out again for yes more food! The small old villages make wine the old way (stipulated by law) and you can smell the fermentation as you ...

Then we washed it down with Gruyere's famous double cream and raspberries. Say no more! After lunch we toured the castle - took us 70 minutes and it was fascinating. Built in the 1500's it has lovely gardens, a tower you can climb (vertigo), many rooms with period furnishings and museum artifacts, ...

... We had hoped to have a walk around the old city after dinner, but it was raining hard enough that we wouldn’t have been able to see well, so we made our way slowly back to the car parked by the river, stopping from time to time under a store overhang to admire the views.

The drive back to the hotel went quickly there is little traffic tonight, and we’ll no doubt not stay up late. If all goes as planned, tomorrow we fly to ...
